Jiffy is a delightful Bedlington X who is searching for his forever companion.
About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Potentially - Jiffy has met a Staff members Spaniel. Introductions from both dogs were positive. We cannot say for sure how Jiffy will be within a home with a resident dog but for a successful applicant, they will be invited in to bring their dog to our site for a meet and greet assessment.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially - Subject to a successful meet and greet - Please ask a Staff member for further information.
- Do I have any medical issues? No
- Can I live with cats? Potentially - Jiffy does not react to our farm cat whilst on a lead walk. Applicants who are applying will only be accepted if their resident cat has lived with a dog before, without issue.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - Jiffy is fantastic at checking in with his handler whilst on a walk. From what we have visually assessed, he can on occasion react to chickens & cars. Using his marker word "CHECK!" he will look to his handler for a tasty treat very quickly. Our Dog Trainer, Gary Mathlin can advise potential adopters of any on-going training & can provide full support.
Jiffy is a very sociable, adventurous pup who thrives on the attention of his favourite humans.
He adores long sniffy walks in the countryside but is also partial to cuddling up to you on the sofa at the end of a busy day. He is the perfect mix of active & calm. He is a charming character who forms strong bonds with people very quickly but he can be a little wary of strangers at first. If he is unsure of people walking close by when he is out & about, he will give them a little bark, just to ensure that they know not to approach to say hello before he is ready too.
As a young dog, Jiffy will require plenty of exercise & stimulation in order to burn off energy & keep him happy.
He could potentially live with young children who are understanding of his space & respectful of his boundaries.
Jiffy is a very sweet, devoted companion who is deserving of a second chance.
