About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Ziti is not keen on being in the presence of other cats. She was recently in foster care with a younger, neutered male & is now within our cattery with 10 others (separate housing). Her behaviour towards all of them is quite stand-offish. She displays signs of being uncomfortable when in close proximity too them - for example, if a cat is walking past her cabin.
- Can I live with dogs? Potentially - Ziti spent eight weeks in foster care with a placid, calm Labrador. She was not bothered by his presence & tended to ignore him. She may be able to live with a dog of a similar temperament.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Ziti is a very friendly cat who has shown nothing but kindness to her handlers. We believe she may be able to live with young children, as long as they are of a calm approach & respect her boundaries.
- Do I have any medical issues? Yes - Ziti is booked in to be spayed on the 26th February. She will not be able to be rehomed until after this date but meet and greets for successful applicants can still go ahead. As Ziti went through a very traumatic time throughout her pregnancy, we believe she has developed some anxiety, which has now resulted in her pulling her own fur out. Her back is currently quite bald from a mixture of this & the previous flea infestation that she was suffering from. The vets will be advising us on what the next steps are in order for us to treat this.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? Potentially - Ziti arrived to us as a stray. From what we have observed of her behaviour so far, she was a little destructive within the foster home but we are putting this down to the fact that she was severely malnourished & constantly on the look out for food at the time. She also had four kittens to feed & raise, therefore, she was naturally quite stressed & overwhelmed at times.
Gorgeous Ziti was sadly found abandoned just before Christmas along with her four, one week old kittens. She was severely malnourished & flea ridden.
Despite being confused & terrified, Ziti showed nothing but appreciation towards her handlers. She is a very friendly, energetic cat who just wants a warm lap to cuddle up to. After arriving too us, herself & her kittens quickly went into foster care. Ziti showed her true personality pretty much straight away. Food & cuddles are all that matters to her.
As she went weeks on the street without a proper meal, she does have a very keen appetite. She has been known to pinch food off of her foster carers plate & will meow at the top of her lungs if you are not prepping her food quick enough.
Ziti truly deserves a forever home after all that she has been through. We believe that once she has settled within a home, she will be quite the character!
