About me
- Can I live with other cats? Yes - Since Stevie is not affected by the other cats in the cattery and has spent many years living harmoniously with his mother, we believe he could adapt well to having a new feline companion.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Stevie is afraid of dogs and has no experience living with them. He is seeking a home without any.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially - Stevie could potentially live with younger children, providing they respect his space.
- Do I have any medical issues? No - When Stevie first arrived to us, he received treatment for a cat bite. This injury has completely healed and is no longer a concern. He is in excellent health.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Stevie has always had the opportunity to explore the outdoors and is accustomed to using a cat flap from his previous home.
Stevie first arrived at our Sanctuary accompanied by his mother, Edith. Initially, they seemed to struggle with the transition from their spacious home to a more confined living environment in our cat cabin.
Their relocation was necessitated by a change in their owner’s household, as the owner’s girlfriend moved in with her dog, which did not get along with cats. Concerned for their safety, the owner made the decision to entrust Stevie and Edith to our care.
After a few days, it became clear that the two were not adjusting well to their new circumstances. Their relationship deteriorated, resulting in physical altercations that left Stevie with noticeable wounds. He required veterinary attention on several occasions for antibiotics due to a bite wound inflicted by Edith.
In the interest of their welfare, we made the difficult decision to separate them. Since their separation, Stevie has shown remarkable improvement and is now thriving in our cattery. He is a friendly and affectionate cat, brimming with love to share. His calm demeanour around other cats suggests that he may be compatible with a new feline companion.
Stevie is comfortable being handled and picked up, making him a delightful addition to any home. We are excited to find him a loving family where he can continue to flourish.
