About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Amber's previous owners informed us that she does not get along well with other animals. She has shown a strong aversion to the other cats in the cattery and hisses when dogs pass by her cabin. She would be much better off as the only pet.
- Can I live with dogs? No
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes - 18+
- Can I live with young children? No - Amber has previously lived with children aged 1 and 2, but she wasn't comfortable in their presence. This discomfort led to her surrender to the Sanctuary. She would thrive in a home with cat experienced adults.
- Do I have any medical issues? No - Amber was very well-mannered during her vet visit. She received a comprehensive health check with no issues detected.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? Yes - Amber has always been an indoor cat.
Amber is a middle-aged cat in search of a new home. She came from a household with two very young children, but due to concerns about her behaviour around them, her owner chose to surrender her to our care.
Amber has quite a spirited personality and can be a bit temperamental at times. While she enjoys coming over to give head bumps and receive affection, she will let you know when she’s had enough. She often playfully swats at the animal welfare assistants, but she doesn’t use her claws!
She’s quite the character!
Amber needs an owner experienced with cats who can provide her with the space and patience she needs. At heart, she’s just a grumpy girl looking for a quiet, peaceful life without any drama!
