About me

  • Can I live with other cats? No - Jethro previously lived harmoniously with two other cats for nine years. However, considering the significant changes he has experienced in the last few months, it may be in his best interest to be the sole pet in the household. This would ensure he receives the full attention and care from his new adopters.
  • Can I live with dogs? No
  • Can I live with teenagers? No
  • Can I live with young children? No - Given Jethro's shy demeanour, he would not be a good fit for a household with young children, he is better suited for an adult-only home.
  • Do I have any medical issues? Yes - Jethro has undergone a comprehensive health examination at our vets and everything appears to be in excellent condition!
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? Yes

Jethro, formerly known as Noel, came to us in September 2024 alongside two other cats due to a house eviction.

In January 2025, Jethro found a new home, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit. We received reports from his owner indicating that Jethro was hiding and struggling to adjust. On March 27, the owner made the difficult decision to return him to our Sanctuary.

Our dedicated animal welfare staff went above and beyond, taking time out of their days off to bring Jethro back home.

Since returning, Jethro has begun to emerge from his shell more quickly than during his initial stay with us. He is exploring his surroundings and showing a growing eagerness to interact, though he remains quite shy and requires a gentle, patient approach.

Jethro is seeking a home with an experienced cat owner who understands the importance of allowing him to acclimate at his own pace. This process might take six months or more. Given that Jethro has been uprooted from his original home of over nine years, transitioned to our cattery, moved into a new home, and then returned to the rescue, it’s understandable that he feels confused and is in urgent need of stability and a knowledgeable caregiver.

If you believe you could be the right match to help Jethro find his forever home, please contact us today for more information.
