About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Roo has previously lived in a home with two other female cats & two males. She developed a good relationship with the girls but was not a fan of the boys! Since being in our care, she has shown us that she is not comfortable being around the other cats within the cattery. Due to these signs, we believe that she would be better suited to being the ONLY PET.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Roo has never lived with a dog. She can become nervous around them.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Roo has lived with a young child of 15 months old in her previous home.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Roo has a medical check up at the Vets today (5th February) at 16:00. Her information will be updated shortly.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Roo has always had access to the outside world through a cat flap. Being 10 years old, it would not be fair on her to become an indoor cat at this stage in her life. She adores going outside in the Spring/Summer months, when the weather is warmer. Although, she is not massively keen on going out in the colder months & will prefer to stay inside for most of the day.
Roo is a nervous yet independent cat who warms up to people very quickly.
She has come from a very busy home environment where she was displaying signs of distress. Her owners had informed us that she was not getting along with the resident male cats & as a result of this, was not able to access a litter tray, which then caused her to have accidents within the property. We have been told that she had a great relationship with the female cats, there were no issues between them.
Whilst we do not have a great deal of further information on Roo, we do know that she went missing for a year between 2019-2020. Where she spent these 12 months we sadly do not know, but the most important thing is that she did return home safe & unharmed.
If you are looking for a placid, low maintenance companion who is willing to slowly build a bond with you, Roo could well be the perfect addition to your home.
As Roo now enters her senior years, she deserves to be provided with stability & a home environment where she is fully comfortable.
