About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Potentially - Tony lived with a Staff X Labrador in his previous home. We believe he may do well in a home with a dog of a similar size.
- Can I live with teenagers? Potentially - 16+ - must have experience of living with a dog.
- Can I live with young children? No
- Do I have any medical issues? No
- Can I live with cats? No - No - If given the opportunity, Tony will chase a cat as he thinks it's a game!
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - Yes but can sometimes be wary of traffic going past - Tony will require training when it comes to this. ACGAS can advise & aid with training sessions.
Tony is a spirited dog who is full of energy.
This handsome chap has come into our care as his adopters were moving abroad.
He originally came to us with another dog (Staffy X) but sadly due to kennel spacing, they had to be separated. Tony isn’t a huge fan of kennel life. He adores going out for walks and having off lead time in our secure fields but being in the kennel itself has freaked him out a little bit. He is a very calm, chilled boy who just wants a peaceful life. He cannot fathom as to why he is here.
He loves cuddles and affection but only once he knows & trusts you. He adores toys & his favourite game to play is fetch. He will often bring you the toy & will stand in-between your legs waiting for you to throw it. He is such an amazing boy with so much love to give.
He has lots of thick blankets within his kennel but he chooses to sleep on the floor next to his door at all times, he really is in need of some home comforts!
Tony’s favourite thing in the world is water. Upon entering our fields he will beeline for the tap that is connected to the paddling pools & given the chance, he will dig and splash in the water all day, 24/7! He can even hear when the hose outside the field is being turned on & will start to bark in excitement. Adopters need to be aware that he also likes to splash in his water bowl within the kennel, we are unsure if he will do this once in a home but if you don’t mind some soggy socks every now and again, Tony may be the dog for you.
